The style of the new album.

hello europefans:
Some of you know about the style of the Europe'new album?,I have read the new page but i don't know what means with "organic",and others...i would like to know WHICH STYLE THEY COME WITH NOW:
WING OF TOMORROW
THE FINAL COUNTDOWN/OUT OF THIS WORLD
PRISONERS INPARADISE..?

I think that new EUROPE'S album will not resemble with no one from the precedents!!! I think that's will have more music with very heavy quitars, less vocals and amazing fresh melodies...

dont think that the new Europe sound will have "fresh new melodies" not while Norum is around , hes not the melodic type anymore. if you have Norums solo albums you will notice that they get progrssively less melodic as the years go by. this is topped off with 'slipped into tomorrow' which may want you to slip into a coma if you like 'melodies' as it has poor songs from start to finish with NO "fresh new melodies" and frankly is the worst album ive heard in many, many years!

but that may influence the new Europe sound and if 'slipped into tomorrow' is on Norums songwriting mind. hopefully Joey wont allow him to collaborate-bearing in mind that Norum has never written a song with Joey for europe and still people want him back in the band

finally, the better Europe melodies we remember from the post Norum days are gone i think as KEE MARCELLO is omitted from the line up! hopefully Joey will come to his senses and BRING KEE BACK!!!

I hope that EUROPE will not become again JOEY TEMPEST’S band. They are mature musisians all in the band. About NORUM I disagree… Maybe 'slipped into tomorrow' wasn’t the best of him, but the others were great melodically HARD ROCK albums. I think, if you speaking depreciatorily for NORUM, you don’t bring KEE back. KEE is great quitarist, but at 1986 was that lucky and NORUM, was that grieved far from his band. Mr Erdman didn’t want counteractive types in the middle. I hope that you love the band and no persons.

I do hope the band goes back to the "Wings" and 1st."Europe" stile,that old european rock sound is really good - be it with Norum or Kee.The're both great.

i doubt nessie, remeber as soon as EUROPE changed in '85 it was a complete change for the best, and then we got the tfc.i reckon they will continue from prisoners in paradise.

You're probably right Bryn....oh well, all their stuff is great isn't it? Just their coming back is great!

Hello all eurofans in this world :
I am so glad about this coming back..but I'm not going to buy another prisoners album, it was so boring, had no emotion like TFC or OUT OF THIS WORLD, was raw and heavy yes...but not powerful.
I miss those albums when they explode your adrenaline at listening...Wing was good too, but from TFC they were better than ever...then came Prisoners in Paradise...and I said: "This is Europe???
what about all the powerfulness?
what about spectacular vocals like in Ready or not,Carrie or Ninja?.
what about the killing guitar solos?
what about Joey's breaking his voicelike in Carrie or on broken wings?

i couldnt disagree with you more! i think you must be listening to a different 'POP' to the rest of the world, the album is a legend. i think you are a KEE MARCELLO hater. i on the other hand think that he was the best thing to happen to europe. getting the unmelodic and frankly poor guitatist Norum out of the fold was the best move ever! otherwise 'OOTW' would be a boring album.

where's the 'powerfulness and killer guitar solos from 'POP' ???
get a spoon and clean your ears out!!!!

No, I do noy think kee is a bad guitar player,I was tlking about the new style and I was talking about Europe's albums styles,i like TFC and Out of this world, and I wait (maybe forever)that Europe will continues with the style of these albums, that is all Mick.
I do not know,what do you think if it takes those albums away from Europe's carrer?
For me Europe would not "exists"?

PIP was released in 1991... that's 13 years ago! It's very unlikely that Europe 2003/04 will sounds much like they did on PIP, not to mention the earlier albums.
So much has happend since PIP was released and the guys broke up, they have done so many different things, worked with different bands, made soloprojects and evolved both personally and as musicians. I think the new Europe album will have a whole new sound, a whole new feeling, but with the talent and energy that we know and love from the old Europe . Things change, that's just how it is. People change, the music scene changes, nothing remains the same, and just imagine how boring it would be if the guys released an album with the exact same sound as TFC or PIP!!?? If you listen to the 5 old albums, you will notice that they are also different in sound. I, for one, can't wait to hear the sound of Europe 2004! I know in my heart that it's gonna be good...

EUROPE HAD ITS VERY SUCCESS WITH THE 2 MOST POWERFUL ALBUMS OF 88 AND 86. AND A 1991 ALBUM COULD HAD BEEN POWERFUL TOO, LOOK AT USE YOUR ILLUSION I & II BY GUNS & ROSES ARE FROM THE SAME YEAR (1991) AND LOOK AT ONE OF ITS SONGS LIKE "YOU COULD BE MINE" IS POWERFUL.

Well, what I will say you is...whatmpeople wants again about Europeis another TFC album like,look at the chats and boards.And I understands them, Just The final contdown are the words that givesn Europe the most successful never ever seen before...
And Personally I think THE FINAL COUNDOWN...IS THE BEST COMPOSICION NEVER CREATED...IN THE MUSIC HISTORY...in the music history...listen so well !!! challenging Bach,Bethoven, Mozart,challenging Rolling stones,Beatles or Queen and any music band of any kind of sound.
They did it so well that we think that sounds during 5:09 mins.WILL NEVER BE TOPPED...BUT THE SAME BAND THAT HAS CREATED.

Rodrigo I think exactelly there is the dog burried.
This song - The Final Countdown - is so great that he wrote in the meantime his own story and all other great songs they did stand in the shadow of him. If you put on stage the spots to only one the others beside in the shadow you realise not and so it is too with the other songs of Europe: they are not realised caused on that one great and I would not wonder, if they are sometimes a bit fed off to listen always only Q. for TFC and are seen as the Band who made this one song.
Sorry dear, as great as he is - I see this more as a sad capital in the meantime and as they said in the interview: all others JT and Mic/Kee wrote are meassured on just this one and this is now really sad because Rock the night is a great song, and Superstitious is favoulous and Pip is great and Halfway to heaven in the same way.
I guess if TFC would not have been people outside would remain them more. That´s like - Scorpions wrote a mass of hits and mostly you remain more than one. If you say Europe people tend to remain only TFC.
Na, I hope this will change now. At least I hope the remaining in the backheads to this one will help them a bit to have a easy comeback on the rockheaven.
And I would not say "never" to something.

I do not know where you live, but in my country (Argentina)Europe is well remembered only by old people (between 28-48) and it is right what you say if TFC would never have been...
Europe is almost the same TFC..saddly.
I think the same than you....
And I think too that only Europe can create another (or others)song like that...if it is not possible no band will do it.

Hello fans,
well the style must already determined by them this time around, cause they are already recording, but i think the style must and have to be powerful like in the early 80's, i do not know if the same style...because Joey thinks that "time really carries the music",and I really thinks that Joey's thoughts made Europe change its style many times (so people can't knows Europe music). And that voices and chorus like in "Ready or not" or "The final countdown" for me...are a seal of Europe.
They can't take them off,No.
Go on Europe...thanks for your music and never give up, please!!!
